Youngstown Area Community Concert Band was privileged to be one of the four guest bands to perform at the 12th annual Three Rivers Community Band Festival hosted by The East Winds Symphonic Band.  The event is held each year at Upper St. Clair High School Theater in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  The goal of the festival is to promote awareness and appreciation of local community bands and to promote participation in these groups by amateur musicians.

A unique festival band is formed each year for the 1-day event.  This year's band consisted of 70 musicians from 59 different musical groups and performed under the direction of Marty Sharer, director of bands and assistant professor of music at California University of Pennsylvania.

Following the music of the festival band, performances were presented by YACCB, Community Band South, and East Winds Symphonic Band.  The concerts were free and open to the public.  Jim Cunningham of WQED-FM 89.3 radio was the program host.  This annual tradition has grown each year to be a phenomenal success!
