The Association of Concert Bands (ACB) The purpose of ACB is to encourage and foster adult concert community, municipal, and civic bands and to promote the performance of the highest quality traditional and contemporary literature for band. In addition to representing people interested in adult concert bands, ACB's philosophy is manifested in various projects and goals, such as the Band Builder's Manual for information on the establishment, funding, development, maintenance, and promotion of bands in the world community.

The Community Music Mailing List
The community-music list supports those connected with the backbone of classical music - members, fans, and conductors of community bands and community orchestras. These groups, made up primarily of volunteer, unpaid members, provide thousands of concerts annually - often at no cost - and entertain audiences cumulatively in the millions.

We talk about anything connected with community music here - music selection, audience building, fund raising, conductor searches, you name it. Commericial advertising is strictly prohibited.

Yahoo! Community Band Listings This is the results of the Yahoo! directory on Community Music. There are some great pages out there. It is good to get an idea of what others are doing.

Canfield Community Band A group of diverse people from around the Canfield area with a love of making music and sharing it through a year round series of concerts.
Cortland Community Band An all-volunteer organization of musicians who enjoy music and fellowship, based in Cortland, Ohio. The band entertains audiences in Cortland and other nearby communities at patriotic celebrations, parades, fairs, festivals and many other local events throughout the year.
Girard Community Band The Girard Community Band was formed in January of 2001 with about 18 members. Presently, we have about 35 and we are always happy to have new members join. There is no audition to become a part of the band, just a love of playing your instrument and a willingness to attend rehearsals and performances.
