“To stop the flow of music would be like the stopping of time itself, incredible and inconceivable.” ― Aaron Copland
Friends and followers of the YACCB,
We played a wonderful concert in a beautiful setting at the Mercer County Court House on Friday August 1. That marked the last of our 10 summer concerts this year, dodging raindrops and dealing with heat. Only two of our events were cancelled. The YACCB traveled west to the Wolf Creek Winery to perform at their 2nd annual community band festival, and east to our last concert of the year in Mercer, Pa. The band and I enjoyed presenting our Broadway Classics.
Looking ahead to the fall and holiday season, we have already scheduled 3 concerts, with a few more to come. In November, the YACCB will perform at St. Patrick's Church on the 2nd and play for the Lit Youngstown'LOOP benefit at the West Side Bowl on the 16th. Our 15th annual Holiday Concert Of Giving will be presented, with the Stambaugh Chorus, on Sunday December 21, 2:30 PM, at Stambaugh Auditorium. This is a benefit for the Second Harvest Food Bank.
We all thank you for your continued support of the YACCB and look forward to providing free concerts that you will be sure to enjoy.
Thank You,
Joe Pellegrini, Conductor
