From the pen of our Conductor...

The Christmas season contains some of the most instantly accessible emotions, ideas, thoughts and memories. Traditions which have been impressed into the fabric of our upbringing seem to take on an almost magical expression. Friendships which have grown cold seem to be easily warmed and rekindled, family that we have not seen for some time are drawn near - even enemies seem to find their common ground, if only for a moment.

This Christmas season the YACCB is going to be performing musical repertoire to help all of us pause and reflect; music to remind us of those things that were once close to the heart, so easily led further away. Though the warmth of the fire and circle of friends brings with it a sense of community, there is also a certain beauty found when the evening is done, finding ourselves in quiet solitude on the journey home, allowing the light piercing through the black winter sky to help us find our way home again. 

We invite you to join us this Christmas season, to come and reflect, to remember and to find your way home as we walk in winter starlight.
